MOUNTING PROCEDURES FOR NUT-INSERTED
CYLINDER WHEELS
1. Inspect all shipments containers for shipping damage.

2. Inspect all wheels for physical damage.

3. Remove thread protector and blow out any sawdust or debris that may interfere with bolt threads.

4. The mounting plate must be flat and the sides must be parallel. It must run true and be in good balance.
All burrs and high spots must be removed.

5. All screws should be of sufficient length to engage the threads properly in the inserted nuts. The screws should have square ends and should be threaded to the ends. The screws should be of correct length so that the end does not bottom in the hole and the diameter is such that it will not bind in the nut-insert.

6. Make sure there is no debris on the plate surface or on the wheel surface. Place plate on the wheel, lining up bolt holes to the plate and the wheel. Insert screw and hand tighten all screws, making sure there is no binding or cross threading. When everything is in good alignment, proper tightening not to exceed 15 foot pounds can be applied.

7. Remount wheel to grinder. Start grinder and let wheel run for approximately one minute at full speed.
Dress the wheel if necessary and begin to grind.

8. PERFORMANCE TIPS

a. By increasing wheel speed the wheel acts harder.
b. By decreasing wheel speed the wheel acts softer.
c. By increasing work speed the wheel acts softer.
d. By decreasing work speed the wheel acts harder.
e. By increasing travers speed the wheel acts softer.
f. By decreasing traverse speed the wheel acts harder.

9. Always turn off coolant and allow wheel to spin excess coolant from wheel before turning off machine.
